IMPORTANT NOTE: Bulace Dyeing - – Devastated by fire!!!
FIRE has caused devastation to our fabric dyeing factory in Wendouree. On the morning of December 8, 2011, Firefighters were called to Bulace Dyeing in Dowling Street at 4.28am where they found a large factory blaze.
Six Country Fire Authority units from Ballarat City and Wendouree attended the scene.
A CFA spokesman said the fire — which measured 60 metres by 30 metres — had completely ruined the building.
Owner John Bulluss first opened the business in Dowling Street 36 years ago.
UPDATE:
Bulace Dyeing wish to advise all clients & industry friends that we are now in the process of clearing the site in readiness to rebuild. Some machinery has been lost, most goods within the premises has been lost but we are looking forward to the challenge of moving forward with the equipment we have and hope to get some dyeing underway in the early part of 2012. We would like to thank all of our wonderful friends whom have called, dropped in or shown their support & grief over the past week and we all look forward to a different Christmas period. Please accept our thanks.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all & we hope to be back in business serving the industry in 2012…
